This means that the enemy holds an Estus Flask and has the capacity to heal if you don't kill it quickly. You will notice he has an orange glow on him. At the bottom, turn right to see a Hollow Soldier. Kill the Praying Hollow Soldiers if you haven't already, then go down the stairs the axe-wielder arrived from. Just get that backstab in and finish him off with a couple of normal attacks. The same strategy applies here as he is also fairly slow. Next, take on the Hollow with the halberd. Use this to your advantage, go for a backstab attack, and finish him off as he tries to pick himself up. His attacks have a big arc, and he takes some time to recover from them. Try to get the Hollow with the axes' attention first. Heading up some steps to your left (facing away from the bonfire area) should be a Large Hollow Soldier with an axe, and in the distance, another Large Hollow Soldier should be making his way toward you with a halberd. You want to start by trying to lure the Starved Hounds in one at a time to get them out of the picture. Once he's dead, you should be able to see a group of enemies below you, so go back to the bonfire and take the nearby stairs down.
